Divine Love – Our Theme

The message for tonight is this: The story of Christmas began in LOVE. It can change your life, redefine you and gives you a capacity that you never know you own, to care for another in return. So, what’s the story of Christmas all about?

This night, we talk about Divine Love. What do you mean? It exits because God first love us. God is the first to show what it is. When God decided to announce the Good News that the birth of Jesus Christ arrived, it was the point of no return for God’s Salvation plan for all people.

The stretch of time before the birth of Jesus, God could still ‘change His mind’ if he decided to. The story of Christmas was God’s commitment to see through His plan. It was not all that easy or delightful to execute this path. It meant sacrificing His priceless gift so every one could be saved through His Son Jesus Christ.

It was a commitment directed by Divine Love. It is able to endure, persevere because the nature of that love never gives up. God loves you. He had you in mind when He began the Christmas Story. A story that many are unable to understand, but if you do, it will alter your life forever.

The story of Christmas began 2000 years ago. Nothing has changed since that day. It still speaks today just it  began 2000 years ago. Let His Divine Love speaks to you this Christmas.

So you see, the heart of the Christmas story begins in love. It never gives up. As you begin this festive season, remember God will ever pursue, always reaching out and finds room to cover and embrace those who come to Him or cry out to him.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Family – God’s Chess Piece

Family Is God’s Chess Piece

Did God use a family unit to fulfill His Salvation plan? God engineered the union between Joseph and Mary. Although, Jesus was not born as a result of their union, both Joseph and Mary raised Him as their own. He grew up under their care. Through it all, we learn how important a family unit is, led in God’s presence to fulfill the long-awaited prophecy.

Tonight’s message is to go ahead and take time to spend with the ones you love. Enjoy being silly and take time to laugh together. So, the best news is spending time together with one another is the best Christmas ever!

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year.  Not only for all that treasure family time, it’s also for Joseph and Mary. Both Joseph and Mary started their family when Jesus was born. Later they expanded further with Jesus’ brother.

God chose a family to begin the path of Salvation. It is an important part of this beautiful story. God uses families to change history. It reveals a simple truth about God’s perspective about relationships.

We know each other better when we spend time together. It is God’s intent that we get to know Him. If we want to spend time with the ones we love, that’s what God wants, a relationship with Him.

I’m reminded of this song tonight, entitled ‘Christmas is the time to love’. Have you heard of this song? This song talks about what’s most important during this festive season. It’s not about getting everything shopping done on time, rather, it’s about spending time together, enjoying each other and to love above all else.

Family

Christmas Is The Time To Love.

Have an awesome night with your family. Let music fills the entire house. Our story is not over yet. See you.. stay tuned tomorrow.

God’s Message Tonight

Have you ever been disappointed in your life? God has a special message for you tonight. Disappointment is part of life but it’s not from God. Sometimes, drowning in disappointment, we blamed Him. The truth is, we blame Him for every disasters in our lives. Tonight’s message, disappointment is nothing new to Him because He went through it all. If this interest you, God has more for you. Come along..

My hubby spent 10 months of 2015 and 2016 building an App that he believed inspired by God. The truth is I believed it too. What he could not understand was the response people took to this App.  Absolute no interest, no one not even one  download the App. After all the hard work he put in, no one wanted it.

It left me thinking..

Disappointment is nothing new to God. When He offered Jesus (His one and only Begotten Son) to the world, how many reject Jesus? Every year passed by and people were busy celebrating Christmas for every other reasons than celebrating the birth of His Son Jesus. Who truly knew who Jesus was? Who care?

God

Turn to God in your moment of disappointment.

Tonight, He wants you to know this. Up till this point, He has not given up on any one. In fact He will  not. For as long as you acknowledge you need Him, He will be there for you.

Many saw the birth of Jesus at that time. God started this spectacular event supernaturally, delivered by the Heavenly messengers. Yet, not many followed Him.

But He wants you to know, He is the Alpha and the Omega. The beginner and the finisher. Will you come to Him this Christmas?

Goodnight all. Christmas is not for me, but all. Have a great rest and see you tomorrow.

Ever Feel Lost? Know Jesus

Ever Feel Lost? Know Jesus

Ever feel lost? Some of us know that feeling more than others. Am I right? God has a message for you. Do you know that Jesus came to save those who are lost?

Tonight we are thankful for the ability to continue with our story. If you’ve waited to hear from us and didn’t.. we would like to apologize. Sometimes when our hearts desire but our flesh could not, it’s a battle. Who will win?

It’s liken that momentary sense of loss.. Have you tried driving around at night aimlessly and got lost? What did you do? Is it time to panic? Now if you have a GPS, it’s time to use it, right? What happens if you leave your GPS at home? Now… you begin to PANIC!!

Many of us know that very well and nobody likes it.. Now let me ask you a question. Did you ever intentionally get lost? The only time we ever realize it, is when we realize we’ve lost our focus, that is, we’ve found ourselves drifting off.. Why are we talking about this tonight?

Christmas is not about Santa Claus, Christmas lights, sleigh bells, snowman, Christmas tree, chocolates and candy cane or even presents. These are nice.. but they are not the truth of Christmas.

If the Bible had prophesied long before the birth of Jesus in Isaiah 9:6

“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”(NASB)

That is to say, His birth was only to fulfill the prophecy. It was clearly a supernatural event, intentional and planned.

What for, you ask?

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Lost

Jesus Came To Save Those Who Are Lost.

He came to seek and save you & me! Sometimes, the ones who think they do not need are the ones who need the most.

Have an awesome night everyone! See you soon.. stay tuned.

Shepherds in Christmas Story

Shepherds Saw Baby Jesus

Shepherds, why? Tonight, we introduce a group in our story. They’re not the Magi nor the King. They are however, the ordinary shepherds who live their whole lives looking after sheep. Yet, tonight they saw a historical event that only the blessed got to see and be a part of this beautiful story.

So what did they witness? According to Luke 2:8-20

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they got afraid. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

shepherds

shepherds witness the birth

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word  what was told to them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Why then did God choose to show the birth of Jesus to a group of ordinary shepherds? Isn’t it befit a King, not surrounded by the Nobles, Kings and Men of high standing?

Why the shepherds? This goes to show that God does not overlook the ordinary.

Some days when you are struggling to see any good in you, remember these shepherds. Although ordinary, yet in the hands of God, they saw and became a part of the extra-ordinary event.

The bottom-line message tonight is this: God has not forgotten you! Even when you think you are forgotten, He wants you to know this: He remembers, you are not.

The best is yet to come!

Let your heart be at rest tonight. Be at peace! See you tomorrow.

Messiah – The Promised One

The Messiah Promised?

Now, Who is this promised Messiah? Last night we shared about the journey the Magi took to search for the Messiah. According to the prophecy, it stated:

Messiah

Messiah-promised

“But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
    are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
for out of you will come a ruler
who will shepherd my people Israel.’

On With Our Story

Now, we did not show you if they found the Messiah or not, did we? Since we focused on King Herod after knowing that he felt threatened by the birth of the Messiah, he ordered every child below the age of 2, killed. Did he really believe in the prophecy? Apparently he did.

Meanwhile, God engineered. He sent an Angel to Joseph, in a dream as He redirected Joseph’s family to Egypt and they stayed there till King Herod’s passing. Later on, one night through another dream, God redirected Joseph and his family back to Israel again. Did God protect them? Yes, He did. (Matthew 2:13-23)

Oh sorry for the sidetrack again. So where were we..?

The Magi.. of course! Did they ever see the baby,  ‘The promised Messiah’? According to Matthew 2:9-12

“After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route. “

I believe they did. You see, apparently King Herod did not get the memo..

Up till this point, we saw God engineered spectacular events supernaturally. Why is it so important you wonder? Why did God create such a grand stage with multitude of witnesses in His story telling? Or was He trying to make a point..? If It was.. what was it?

Hopefully we get a peek into the answers above next time. Meanwhile, enjoy this carol. Sleep tight and have an awesome night everyone!  Stay tuned, we’ll see you tomorrow.

King Herod The Great

Who Is King Herod The Great?

If you follow our story, you may remember we promise a historical figure enters as the highlight of tonight’s show. Have you heard of King Herod the Great? Tonight, King Herod enters the stage.

King Herod

King Herod

According to the Book of Matthew chapter 2: 1:8,

After Jesus was born Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

When King Herod heard this, he got scared and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called all together the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. “In Bethlehem in Judea, they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written:

“But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judea, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.”

Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”

Well, you would think King Herod kept his word, since he was the King, right? The truth was.. he planned to find the baby to kill him before the prophecy could come to fruition. (Matthew 2:16-18)

What a spectacular event that happened around the birth of Jesus’ time! A King interfered and planned to get rid of the Messiah as promised from the prophecy. If King Herod had not believed that the Messiah was born right at his reign, he would not have tried to look for him and attempted to murder the child.

King Herod

God Redirected Joseph And His Family To Egypt.

God Intervene

But, God knew just what to do.He changed the plan. He sent an Angel through a dream to redirect Joseph’s family to Egypt and they stayed in Egypt until King Herod died. Can we say that God was in control? Yes!

Till this day, God is still in control. Everything that ever happened, God knew and are still in control. Isn’t it a comfort to know that God is still in control today?

Well, do you look forward to another adventure with us? Hope to see you soon.. stay tuned till tomorrow. Good night!

Caesar Augustus

Caesar Augustus: Who was He?

Caesar Augustus

Caesar Augustus, the first emperor in Rome.

According to Christianity.about.com, the website stated that “Caesar Augustus brought organization, order, and stability to the Roman world. His establishment of a professional army ensured that insurrections were put down quickly. He changed the way governors were appointed in the provinces, which reduced greed and extortion. He launched a major building program, and in Rome, paid for many projects from his own personal wealth. He also encouraged art, literature, and philosophy. He was a benevolent dictator.

Caesar Augustus, the first emperor in the ancient Roman Empire, issued an order which fulfilled a biblical prophecy made 600 years before he was born.” What was the order he issued?

According to Luke chapter 2:1-7,  Caesar Augustus,  issued the first census ever. This account was in fact a record of the first fulfillment of the prophecy foretold.

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register.

So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

Elizabeth and Zacharia

Elizabeth and Zachariah

So apparently, Joseph, Mary, Elizabeth, John the Baptist, &  Zechariah were not the only people who knew the birth of Jesus, Caesar Augustus unknowingly played a big role to fulfill the prophecy as well. What an amazing time..

Tomorrow another historical figure will enter and raise our story to a greater climate. Watch out for it. It’s not over yet..

See you soon. Until then sleep tight and have a great night.

Supernatural God – Christmas Story

All About Our Supernatural God

Supernatural events happened right about the time of Jesus’ birth simply because God is Himself, the supernatural being. We learn all about it through the Word of God, the Bible.

The Bible was a record of everything that God did, to save humanity. Therefore, the truth is everything God did is absolutely supernatural.

So, what exactly happened? Let us find out, shall we?

Supernatural

Both Mary and Elizabeth Received Supernatural News

Bible’s Account In Luke

According to the Book of Luke chapter 1:26 – 37,  it gave an account of the visit from Angel Gabriel to deliver the ‘Great New!’ to Mary.

Now in the sixth month of her pregnancy,[i] the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth, 27 to a virgin engaged to a man named Joseph, a descendant[j] of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel[k]came to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you!”[l] 29 Startled by his statement, she tried to figure out what his greeting meant.

30 Then the angel told her, “Stop being afraid, Mary, because you have found favor with God. 31 Listen! You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David.33 He will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and his kingdom will never end.”

34 Mary asked the angel, “How can this happen, since I have not had relations with[m] a man?”

35 The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come over you, and the power of the Most High will surround you. Therefore, the child will be holy and will be called the Son of God. 36 And listen! Elizabeth, your relative, has herself conceived a son in her old age, this woman who was rumored to be barren is in her sixth month. 37 Nothing is impossible with respect to any of God’s promises.”

When God Acts, He Affirms

When God chose to do a supernatural happening, often times, He affirms with the people involved and in this case, it did involve Mary.

If you noticed, a relative of Mary whose name was Elizabeth was also pregnant with a child in her old age. His name was John. He was actually known as ‘John the Baptist’ by many.

Another supernatural happened right around the same time. Elizabeth was barren, unable to have a child. Yet, she was 6 months pregnant when Mary received the news from Angel Gabriel.

Our lives change when God visit us. In fact, the blessing was not for Mary and Joseph or even Elizabeth alone. Do you want to know more?

So come join us and find out what happens as the story continues! See you soon.. and tune in tomorrow for more.

Immanuel – God With Us

Immanuel – What does it mean?

“See, a virgin will become pregnant
and give birth to a son,
and they will name him Immanuel,’

Immanuel

Immanuel-God with us

which means, “God with us.” 24 When Joseph got up from his sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary as[e] his wife. 25 He did not have marital relations with her until she had given birth to a son;[g]and he named him Jesus.

Am I talking about you?

Are you dismissing this story simply because Science is not backing it up? Supernatural events cannot be proven therefore, they cannot be true. Let’s just treat it as a fable, shall we?

The truth is there are still mysteries out there that science cannot account for.. Does science have it all? Why do some choose Science over accounts from the Bible?

The truth is supernatural happens around us all the time.

Supernatural events happen around us all the time, do you even notice? How about the beauty of child-bearing that inspire many new parents? Death in itself is a mystery that is capable of breaking one’s hope and dream. Ageing is not preventable and unstoppable. It’s coming for you whether you like it or not.  Sometimes, even when you refuse to face it, does not mean it is untrue. Maybe you are not ready for it.

Are answers important?

Some of us think answers are the most important factor to consider God’s existence. The truth is the sense of belonging and being loved are the changing points in our lives, do you agree?

Are we accepted as who we are? Are we loved without a condition by someone we considered special? Are these in fact what’s truly important to us?

Is God Supernatural?

If in fact God is not capable of anything supernatural, would we consider Him God?  I hope in the coming days, we are open to discuss and learn more from our story as it unfolds. Meanwhile, think about what Immanuel truly mean?

Hope to see you soon.. tune in for more tomorrow. Have a great night.
